Processing and Storage of Health Data

Instingo collects and processes health data only with the user's explicit consent. This data is used to facilitate our step challenges by converting activities into steps and providing rankings for users and teams.

The processing of this data is carried out in compliance with applicable data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA) and in collaboration with third-party platforms such as Google Fit, Apple Health, and Health Connect. Users can revoke their consent to data processing at any time in the app settings.

Data Storage

We store personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including compliance with legal obligations, dispute resolution, and enforcement of our policies. The retention period depends on the nature of the data and legal requirements. Data that is no longer needed will be deleted.

Additional storage of activity and health data:

  • We store step count data, calories burned, and other workout activities such as cycling as long as they are included as features in a challenge.
  • Health data obtained from third-party services such as Google Fit or Apple Health is stored only if the user has explicitly consented.
  • Once the data is no longer needed or a retention period expires, it will be securely deleted or anonymized.

We reserve the right to correct, complete, or remove incomplete or inaccurate data at our discretion.
